There are several ways to purchase a Full Length Template on our website. You can browse through or search our database of Manufacturer-specific predefined templates or you can build a Custom Template
If you choose to have a Custom Template made, you can provide us all the measurements (including the Hinge Spacing) or you can give us the basic measurements (Number & Size of the Hinges, the Head & Bottom spacing), and we can do the calculations for you.
- New Wood Doors & New Wood Jambs: Use the "Standard Templaco Templates" as your search tool.
- New Wood Doors into Metal Frames: Use the "Metal Frames and Others" as your search tool
- New Doors into existing Wood Jambs: Go To: "Build A Custom Template" Select "I want to specify all the measurements for the template."
- Build your own Full Length Template: Select "Build A Custom Template" Select "I want the template spacing calculations made for me."

All Templaco full length templates are produced from 5/8" thick high quality exterior grade marine plywood with a smooth high density resin impregnated fiber overlay on both the top and bottom surface. Templates are fixed in hinge size and door height so no adjustments are necessary and this eliminates that chance for error when mortising your doors or jambs. Templates are adjustable for door thickness. Simply attach the template to your door or the jamb with the included attaching nail assemblies and rout out for the hinges using your router.
