Hager drill guide template for the Hager 4700 series Exit Devices. This template incorporates two harden steel drill bushings located 2-7/8" on center to drill the 3/8" thru holes in the door face. The back side of the template drill guide has a 2-1/8" diameter locator slug to locate the template in the cross bore hole in the door face; see the inset photo at the left to view the underside of the drill guide template. Place the locator slug in the 2-1/8" cross bore hole, align the template vertically to the edge of the door. One side of the template has the center line at 2-3/8" from the door edge and the other side has the centerline 2-3/4" from the door edge. Clamp the template to the door face using your own clamps, drill the 3/8" cross bore holes using a 3/8" drill bit.
